| Dr. Jace Stuckey is Assistant Professor of History at Louisiana Tech University. He received his Ph.D from the University of Florida in May 2006 where he studied under the direction of Dr. Florin Curta [Dissertation Supervisor]. Jace also attended the Unviersity of Central Florida where he earned his M.A. in 2000 and Thomas University in Georgia for his B.A. in 1997. Jace's most recent publication is “The Legend of Charlemagne: Entertainment or Crusade Propaganda” in Themes in European History: Essays from the 2nd International Conference on European History. Ed. Nicholas C. J. Pappas. December, 2005. He is also the author of a number of minor publications including encyclopedia articles for the forthcoming World History Encyclopedia (Ed. Alfred J. Andrea) and two book reviews for Alpata: A Journal of History, for which Jace served as Editor from 2003-2005. Jace also has two other interesting works in progress that include a chapter for a volume examining modern myths of the crusades and he is co-editing a volume of essays on the Legend of Charlemagne. Additionally, he has presented a number of scholarly papers in the United States, most commonly at the International Congress on Medieval Studies at Kalamazoo Michigan, as well as presentations in Greece and Slovenia. Jace teaches Medieval History as an Assistant Professor at Louisiana Tech University and has taught a wide range of course as a Teaching Associate and Teaching Assistant at the University of Florida. At Florida he received a number of teaching awards including the Samuel Proctor Graduate Teaching Award and the Graduate Student Teaching Award. Courses taught during his studies at Florida included EUH 2001 Western Middle Ages to 18th Century, EUH-3033 A History of the Holocaust, and AMH –2010 American History to 1877.
