Tancred
Tancred (b.1076-d.1112) was a participant of the First Crusade, taking his vows in 1096 along with his uncle Bohemund I. During the crusade,Tancred served as the second in command of the force of Normans led by Bohemund. In the wake of the successful completion of the First Crusade,Tancred would prove himself to be one of the most capable of the early rulers of crusader settlements in the East.
